Help me out here guys. I want to get a P4 1.6a system with maybe a 30/40 gig HD and 256 megs ram. I DON'T need a monitor, speakers, keyboard, or mouse. Basically I just need the box and everything in it. Don't have to have the best sound or video. Does Nvidia make a board for the P4 1.6a? If so that would be ideal. I also need a KVM switch. Can you guys recommend a good place to get this at a relatively cheap price? What HSF do I need if I overclock this?

TIA

Hi and welcome to the forums.

For info on overclocking a P4 check out the Intel CPUs forum.

I don't think nVidia make a P4 chipset - I think you should go for the i845D which uses DDR RAM. Any board based on that.

As for cooling - you are always better off buying a heatsink & fan for overclocking. The heatsink that comes with the P4 should be OK for mild overclocking, but go for extra cooling for anything more than that.
