Can you really? :p

Yup - it was a while back, but I saw a report of some 50 lower model Zippys in a server farm dying thanks to a batch of bad fans or something of that ilk. No idea which forum that was. Most complaints against Zippy turn out to not be the PSU at fault ;)

On second thought, I'm beginning to think I'd be comfier with you going for the Silverstone, its only 2 bucks more.

I know its possibly the stupidest reason possible, but that newegg review on the Sparkle just gave me the jitters. And now that I think about it, the very occasional thread does crop up now and then on the forums about Fortron/Sparkle failing...very occasionally but still.
the Silverstone is the one I picked ;)

What you said about Sparkle/Fortron's declining QC and the reviews over at the egg put me off a bit too.

I also might get a Silverstone for my DH800 to see if it still works.

It's in my daughter's cart at Newegg awaiting on her approval and CC#

I'll post the whole list when it's finalized.

I'm still wondering about that Sapphire card now. I hate it when people do a hit and run :(

Hmm, since you're in the market for two PSU's, why not get a Zippy for your rig? :D I've got the Sparkle myself as I said (and a bigger Zippy), but something about the Zeus and Zippy just intrigue me enough to want to try both of them just for the hell of it. (Not that I'd go and purchase two PSUs on a whim, but all the same) It's a head scratcher as to which is the better out of the two since people that have either love them both. I which jonny's tests would show as the victor. (Gut tells me Zippy by a hair)

Btw, Eastluna does have a very good resellerrating. I normally don't link to the Silverstone at the egg, because its 30 bucks pricier than it has to be. Perhaps combined shipping costs might compensate though.
