Hey, sorry for hijacking this.
But I'm trying to do the same overclock as BlargCraft.
CPU: AMD FX-4100 4-Core Processor, Socket- AM3+, 3.6Ghz. Running 4,5Ghz atm.
Cooler: Corsair H70 Kjøler + 2x SP120 Quiet Edt.
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
Power Supply: Silver Power SP-SS500 500W PSU
Memory: Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 16GB 4x4GB
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 3.0 (OC'd to 1050Mhz, from 860Mhz stock)
HDDs: Corsair SSD Force Series 3, 120GB 2.5" and a Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm.
Sound Device: Creative SB Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion
USB: Mouse, Keyboard, Headset and a Wireless-thingie.
Case: Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced
Fans: 1x 140mm Front, 1x 140mm Top, 1x 120mm Back (Fans and radiator to H70 cooling-system is mounted on the side-panel, makes it a bit harder to open the case. But fitted best there)
Running Windows 7 Ultimate
Been doing the same changes as BlarCraft.
Ram voltage to 1,55V. CPUNB 1,25V. Vcore 1,5V. And upped the multiplier till i got 4,5Ghz (x 22,5).
System seems to be running fine, and temps seems good and all. BUT when running Prime95 only core #0 and #1 is beeing tested, #2 and #3 gets a error-message.
When checking the activity with an AMD-prog it says that #0 and #1 is doing 100%, and #2 and #3 is at 0-10%, like ideling in windows.
Also on my earlier attempts. When going over 4,1/4,2Ghz, my sound got very crackling. Only change I've done since that is removing my internal Wi-Fi card, and replacing that with a USB-stick. (Did not mess with voltage etc then, all stood on Auto.)
Any idea what that was about ?
