So i just ordered a Global Win WBK38 and a syringe of arctic 2 silver thermal Compound. Now being new to the whole building ur own computer i want to know some stuff. Like is the arctic silver two all i need and do i just scrape the phase change TIM pad off (sticky pad thing) and with what. Help me out with these Fan/heatsink installations questions PLS.

Thanks
Dan

Yes you need to remove the adhesive sticker from the heatsink. Make sure you dont cut into the heatsink or cpu if your using a razor blade. That will lower surface area that meets the cpu. and make sure you use a thin uniform coating of that artic silver. You should be good to go.

allright, use some acetone or rubbing alcohol to get the TIM off and then artic silver's website has application instructions.
