~~~Once upon a time, many, many moons ago, a gathering of folks who are much wiser than you or me, created the computer. Shortly thereafter (a couple of days or so I think...), The fine folks at id created Quake. Suddenly for millions of humans, life now had meaning. Many people, who's lives could best be described as uneventful, and had probably been contemplating ending their existence, now were no longer doing so. Millions of these folks soon got down on their hands and knees to beg their mommy's and daddy's to purchase home computers for them, so that they too might take part in the fragging fun. This is what really started the computer revolution, as we know it. As these people acquired their systems, and partook in the fragging festivities, joy and happiness spread across the land. The human race had entered a new period of prosperity, the likes of which had never been seen in all of recorded history (more or less...).
