I am going to be getting an AMD 64 3800+ X2, and was trying to decide between two types of motherboards. The Asus M2N-E and the M2N-SLI Deluxe. In terms of performance, overclocking etc.. which would you go with? Thank you for your help!

Hi, Ive had an M2N-E and as far as overclocking goes, the available ram
voltage is only 1.80-2.0, so if you want to buy performance ram you'd
have to get low voltage ram (starting @1.8 vdimm) or you've got no headroom
for OC'ing the ram. Most performance ram will start 2.0vdimm and up. Thus
you'll not be able to use a majority of the really good stuff.
The M2N-SLI Deluxe has 1.8-2.5vdimm, so you can use any of the high
performance ram. Just on that alone I'd go with the M2N-SLI Deluxe.

Here's a screen of mine.If you get the M2N-SLI, flash the bios to 0609 it's the best by far.
:welcome:

It is a nice board, the M2N-E. I just recently got mine up and running. But Stebly is msart in saying that it has it's limitations. Still, I have my sempron easily running at 2ghz from 1.6. I will be OCing further without pushing the ram all that much
