Whats the best way to run FAH on the dual Tyan S2460 board with win2k? Do you use the -local or just use two folders for fah?
also what about running as a service? :)

First off welcome back old friend, secondly create two folders, and make sure your shortcuts to FAH go in your startup folder and run them with the -local switch and then point your browser to team 32 and help out we need you! :)

I just got a dually recently and this is what i did

1. set up two folders (fah1 and fah2)

2. name the clients different
FAH2Console-v219.EXE
FAH2Console-v219cpu2.EXE

3. make two shortcuts and use the local tag
"C:\Program Files\FAH1\FAH2Console-v219.EXE" -local
"C:\Program Files\FAH2\FAH2Console-v219cpu2.EXE" -local

and you should be set.

you can use the hideit program i have linked on the http://overclockers.ws page to hide the clients

Glad to see you here Stanman.
The -local is not supposed to be necessary, but I think there are fewer problems when applying it. The client tried to use the registry when I didn't use it.
As for running as a service. A simple way to go may be to set it up as a never ending scheduled service. There are instructions for that here http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60665&highlight=scheduled+task
I've done it and it seemed to work. An alternative would be to use firedaemon to set it up and I think you can still use the -local command with both options.
