Neo Backplate?

The thermalright slk-497u at svc.com comes with a mouting base. Is it sufficient to mount it on an NF7-s, or will the neo backplate also be required?

you dont need it for the nf7-s because there are no components in the way like there are on the dfi's. you just have to skip on motherboard standoff, that's what i did.

A little filing on the Xplate is all that is needed.

I'm using an SLK-947U on my NF7-S (with the stock, unmodded backplate) w/o any issuses other than a lost standoff.
