New ATI Radeon 8500 Drivers

The new Radeon 8500 drivers have been officially released by none other than ATI. Version 5.13.01.6037

Just curious if anyone has installed them yet, and if they improve performance in any way. I installed the last update and there still "smokin". Don't want to mess with the smooth runnin if theres no need.

I just tried the new ones for win 98 (9016, I think, released march 20), my 3dmark scores went up a couple hundred and it looked very good, i.e. no errors or gaps in image.

I dl'd the new 4.13.9009 drivers this morning and they seem to have had a good improvement over the previous ones. So far so good.

I just installed the new drivers and I see almost 200 plus points in 3dmark2001se! Bout time ATI made some good drivers.

I install them, and my score went down 100 points from 6025 drivers (

I have to say starting with the 6011 drivers, ATI's drivers have been pretty darn good, very few problems.. Makes me look forward to the R300 release, should start out with a good driver set for a change..
