Long gone are the days where friends would not let friends buy Seagate and where HGST ruled the reliability realm. Now both companies both rock and tank depending on the model. Always an interesting read in my opinion.

Always keeping an eye out for my Unraided storage server.

Most of the higher failure rates are on what are now pretty old drives. The only exception is Exos X18 with 1% rate at 5 months with a relatively small sample size.

Nice. Might be up for a storage upgrade soon.

Currently running a USB RAID enclosure with 4x6TB WD Blacks in RAID5. Down to maybe 2TB free. Swapping to a full NAS enclosure with 4x12-14TB drives would make a nice step up.
