New Beta Bios came out for the a7v8x..

heres a link to DL it... for those who want to try it out... and see if it fixes the odd temperture readings the last 2 bios's had.

BIOS DL

I think ill be testing it myself as well. Be back with results later.

Im running the bios now. My temps for CPU dropped by 3c, and my mobo temps dropped 5c.

So the temp drop is not as drastic as the last bios which was about -10c. Though now it wont let me change AGP aperture, or agp bus bandwidth.

CPU temp drop 6 C and mobo 10 C...
If they keep giving us more Beta releases I'll soon have a sub zero computer... ;)

The release seem stable... over and out...

Hmmm

I was going to post something to the effect that just because the vendor comes out with new bios that doesn't mean that it is prudent to reflash.

I was going to use the Dell CPx as an example. The A14 Bios rev locked the variable CPU speed to 500mhz in an effort to save dell warrenty costs..

Buuuuuuuut.......................

If ya'll are getting cooler CPU temps from the flash upgrade.. then maybe I shouldn't say anything...

I just like to test things. I see a beta bios maybe ill try it out.

The A7V8X is so easy to flash its not even kinda sorta funny.
Takes all of about 2 min. I just wanted to see if maybe they fixed there problems with the last 2 bios's and the funky temp drops.

Last 2 bios's have said my cpu was at 30c... when mobo was 28. This one seems closer to realistic, and it seems stable.. and I was hoping this new bios would allow 5t instead of 6t on the memory. But no it doesnt allow that. I think im going to reflash back to 1009.

I just dont know if I trust the CPU temp readings it gives me.

Though I WISH I COULD.
