The new BIOS is dated 03/02/2002. Here's what's new:

Date code: 03/02/2002 checksum: 2300
1.Support HDD larger then 137GB capacity
2.Support Athlon XP 2100+ and 2200+.
3.Update K7 CPU Model Number
4.Don't need to check warm boot flag before calling

I installed the new BIOS and noticed my Sandra RAM FLoat scored improved by 50 MB/s. I usually get 2100 - 2110. Now I consistently get 2152. CPU score didn't improve though.

Has anyone else tried this BIOS? I had to go back to EF because my PC keeps hanging after I flashed the new BIOS.

Yes, it is a very bad bios. Using 155fsb, I can't get into Windows. System will just lock up when the first XP logo shows up with animation bar. All other previous bioses are doing fine and stable. I'm back to EF too.

Cannot overclock with this bios either. Was at 160 fsb, now only stable at 133. Back to beta 9e8.

I haven't tried that new bios yet, I have been wondering about it. Does anyone else have any problems with overclocking with it?

I have the newest BIOS (forget the number, sorry) from the shuttle website. I was running my 1.2 Duron at 8.5x155=1318, but I had cold boot problems. I lowered my FSB to 150, and I'll see if I have the same problems in the morning. BTW - I had cold boot problems with older BIOS versions too, so...
