sup guys...ive got a computer build im planning on putting together in the near future, and although ive done extensive research, i would still like to get more opinions on if the build will WORK...yes, there are a lot of components but thats the point, i like technicality, no minimalism...forget cost effectiveness...i dont want to hear " wayyyy overkill dude"....i know it's overkill, thats the idea, all i want to know is if it works...heres the list:

...as well each fan and pump will be wired to a switch to shut it off completely when not needed as well as being wired to the controllers (dont complain)
...plus needed power/reset bulgin vandal switches.

keep in mind i will be crafting a fully custom case for the build out of aluminum/acrylic...

for people who question the 3 separate cooling relays...
1: goes to CPU.
2: to HDD and Chipset
3: GPU's

again, all i want to know is if it will work, i know it's overkill, i know half of it is not needed, and i know it's gonna cost me a couple grand $$$, i have it already all priced...no complaints, just does it work??? thanks :)

I'm not qualified to speak on cooling, but I'd make the following points:
  • Why the graphics card mismatch?
  • Bulldozer is due out soon, I'd wait and see how it performs vs. Sandy Bridge
  • You want an SSD, really, for an 'overkill' build. Or, a pair of them in RAID 0. The 1 TB HDD is fine for storage though.
  • Two DVD burners are pointless, unless you have a specific use in mind. No Bluray?

I'm always interested when people talk about custom cases, I look forward to your posting pics when it's done :)

PS: Welcome to the forums!

I've heard a few bad things about XFX's ATI cards in terms of quality and their support.

Sorry, i forgot about the SSD...OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" MLC. and im thinking im only going to need one if im using the HDD for storage.

This is build is going to take some time so i'll be sure to look into Bulldozer when it comes out.

I never got into blu-ray, im happy with DVDS.

and, bad reviews on the XFX? i wasnt aware...ive already decided to use the two Radeon cards in crossfireX (ive seen spectacular benchmarks with the 6990/6970 combo)...perhaps Sapphire or AMD?
