Im still runnung agp and was thinking about a new video card,my choices are a 7600gt,7800gs or a 1950pro.I know the pros the best but dont Know if I can wait to find one in stock(money burns hole in pocket)also Im unsure if Ill be cpu limited(64 3400 2.4newcastle).The 7600gt looks interesting but it reminds me of an updated 6600(high clocks low memory bandwith)Right now Im running a x800gto(runs at 430/530).Another reason Im leary of the gt is 12 pipelines compared to the 16 I have now.Any thoughts what would be my best move?MAybe it would be better to just use money for a conroe?

While you would see a benefit going from your x800 to say the 7800gs or 1950 pro, I would save your money and jump into the Core 2 Duo arena. Going to a new AGP card has limited usefulness as nVidia and ATi are phasing that out to go to PCI-e. Unless you have a specific piece of hardware that requires something on your motherboard ( can't think of one, but maybe you do ), the best move would be to C2D. Good luck!

trying to get a little further with what I got.I dont want to get everything-new mem new card etc etc.I was hoping to get new card and go maybe most of this year with it
