I posted a few weeks ago about my computer crashing when loading anything up. In the end I decided to change the memory because a few people told me that it could be the memory, but after changing it the computer still crashed.

Yesterday I changed the motherboard and it still crashes also I tried a different HDD, GFX card, still crashes.

Now i'm thinking it could be the PSU or the CPU. Is there any tests I could run for the CPU or has anyone experienced something like this and knows the exact problem?

Have you checked your voltages when you put it on load? I can almost bet that the PSU isn't cutting it. I would not expect the cpu to be the problem. Motherboard Monitor 5 is a good program to test your voltages.

Newer PC components mixed with old (generic) Power Supplies lead to problems. I agree with him, and I'd look for a new PS, either Enermax or True-blue, those are my 2 personal picks.

Also you might try underclocking your CPU and see if that makes any difference, but more likely than not your problem sounds like an underpowered PS.

Oh yeah one other question, how many fans/drives do you have running off of your PS, if you have too many that could also be sucking extra power from the PS. Once again the solution, new PS ;)
