Ok, I would like some advice here if possible. :) I plan to upgrade my computer, and I'm thinking of getting either the 1A GHz Celeron, or 1.1A GHz Celeron. I also need a new motherboard. Either the Abit ST6, or the Gigabyte GA-6OXT.

What I want to to is to run one of these Celerons @ 133 MHz busspeed. And I plan to buy a retail, with Intels standard-cooler on top.

Questions.

1)

Which motherboard? The gigabyte board has a pci 1/5 divider if I'm correct, but since I'm not planning to exceed 133 MHz bus, or not with much, that divider is probably worthless for me. I've only heard good about the Abit board. I think that is my choice now.

2)

Which one of the above Celerons has the best chance to reach 133 MHz busspeed, with Intel standard heatzink? I think the 1.1 GHz Celeron is my choice now.

And yes, I've checked the CPU-database, and still can't decide.
Thanks for any comments. :)

both of them will reach that speed easily, but youre not doing them justice both of them will also reach 140fsb easily....but if you need 133 get the 1.1A as it will have the higher clockspeed....the ST6 is a good choice

I agree with funnyperson.

A tualatin 1.1A and an ST6 would be an excelent choise.
....and you could run that 1.1A @ 1500 easily !!!

I'd take the 1.0a, I prefer FSB over clock speed any day. Also I'd choose the ST6, I've read awhile ago the XT version of the board is a bad overclocking board.

but he said he wanted to run only at 133 fsb...in which case the 1.1A would be better

...LOL...I agree with funnyperson
but with standard-cooler...

it should be no problem, intel Has a better heatsink for these CPU's than the coppermines and they put out less heat.
the 1.1A puts out 28.9Watts off heat at standard speed and voltage.
when overclocked, and the Vcore raised the CPU will be putting out probly around 40-50 Watts. This is no AMD, very easy to cool.
A better heatsink is always nice... but the INTEL OEM heatsink should have no problems getting to 133FSB...

Then again, what is the fun going with stock cooling :D

Ahh crap, my bad, didn't see he wanted to stick with 133fsb. If you want to try your luck, try the 1.2 Celeron, it'd get you to 1600, and I'm pretty sure that's pretty posible with the ST6 as it's a great board, just require some voltage.

Although 100% sure the 1.1a will hit 133fsb, with a very low voltage.

I have already posted this in another thread....but i'll post again here.

Both my 1.0A & 1.1A could hit 133mhz fsb @vcore=1.525
and were 100% stable.
