I don't know if I'm so slow or if it was just released, but I haven't seen anyone mention a new F@H client: 8.3.3.18.
I wonder if there is any change in performance or anything like that. I'm not going to browse the web for info; I just wanted to reinstall the client on a PC with RTX4080.

@KeeperOfTheButch and I were using it on the new rig and it sucks! The PPD starts super low and then ramps up over time, I checked the logs and tpf is pretty much the same so I think it's just the PPD calc it's using. We are not fans of the interface at all though and went back to the old client. Also, I don't think the new client will work with HFM either.

It shows 78M PPD on my RTX4080 for 30-40 minutes. It is supposed to be 21-22M PPD.
The interface sucks. After the PC restart, it lost settings and asked me to log in or create an F@H user account.
I'm not using HFM or anything else. I just check what I have on the XOC website from time to time and see if the client works. I don't have any dedicated PCs running F@H 24/7 right now. However, F@H runs on my gaming PC 24/7. When I play games, F@H still shows 1-3M PPD. Sometimes, I run RTX4070S between various tests. It was up for the last two days at work, but I had to turn it off for the weekend (sometimes weird things happen in the office during weekends).

I don't like it for the web folding, no local control, I also don't like having a browser open when I'm not in front of the PC.

I have been using the 8.3.17 Bastet beta for about a month now. Folding in Linux. Absolutely no issues. Except that one time when all my machines inexplicably went down simultaneously. I suspect it was a Linux update, and I hadn’t thought to suspend updates. With the beta you can natively monitor all your rigs without needing to install third party monitoring clients. Doesn’t give a breakdown of PPD per machine, if that’s what you looking for. IMG_7071.png

If anyone reckons there is a PPD gain to be had from folding with older clients, I’m all ears. Anything to keep the slimy simians off my six

The main issue for me is that when I restart the PC, it says that I don't have any machines that I can use and that I have to log in (there is no button to do that), but in other tabs, it says I'm logged in. To fix it, I have to install F@H again, and then it brings back the last state, so the paused WUs or anything else. It's too annoying. I just installed the old client.

The main screen showed that I had no machine available, but the button showed that I was already logged in. To make the machine available, I had to reinstall F@H, and it automatically started without issues.
Anyway, the old client is running right now.

Yesterday after 2 WUs, the new client stabilized at 22.5M PPD (RTX4080). Today, the old client runs between 22M and 24M PPD. Different WUs, so I guess there may be no difference in the performance. It's hard to say after barely 4-5 WUs.
