I just thought I'd share my lastest project.I decided to put a blue orb fan instead of the stock fan that was with it.I took the shroud off and removed the fan and just super glued the borb fan in its place,I also lapped the heatsink and put a fan on the top side just like the one shown in the section on video card cooling.I had to cut the hole in the shroud alittle bigger to get the much larger fan to fit.Without changing any settings my average 3Dmarks score jumped 200 points. It took just alittle time to do for a nice jump in the score.Hope this info helps, just thought it might be worth posting.

After running a few more test,I was able to run my card at 320/725.When I first got the card my core clock would not run over 306 without crashing in 3Dmarks.I am in the process of looping 3dmarks now just to see if it will remain stable at these speeds.Needless to say I'm very happy with the results so far! :D

blorb

That's a nice improvement for a blorb. Wish I had a newer card so I could try that with a silver-based blorb.

Just to clear things up alittle,I used the same heatsink that came with my card just swapped the fans,I thought the fan that came with the card was a little lame.I looped it all night and played Quake 3,Return to castle wolfenstein,...ect for hours this morning and it seems very stable,no lock-ups or any video artifacts.I wish I could get more tech on the differences for the fans but I was unable to find any CFM ratings on the stock fan.All I can say is that it worked well for me and maybe will help others. That chip gets very hot and anything to cool it down really helps. Not sure if it was the fan,AS2 instead of the thermal pad, lapping the heatsink,or the added fan that made the difference.I guess it doesnt matter to much....It worked!

I was going to show some pics. How can I get them on here from my desktop?

Sorry for the questions, how can I cut it down so I can post them?

When you post, look at the "attach file" field right below the compose field.

Does the GF4 have holes in it that match the blorb like all the past nvidia cards? I'm guessing not, because you had to glue it. I'd like to see your picture.

WOW! One Question though,I didnt see a drawing for the pin orientation for the vcore,Could you tell me or is it the same.
