Apparently Seagates are unreliable. Don't worry you'll get great performance out of the Caviar Black.

i'm starting to lean towards WD HDDs as well. my Seagate 7200.11 250gb nearly died on me...but it turned out to be some weird BIOS problem. i nearly lost all my data (because i didn't back up) and that wasn't a good time.

i'm getting a WD next.
