i have an open AX59PRO amdk6/500 and a ATI rage IIC card(older). my system crashed and i had to reinstall windows2000 pro. after doing so everything installed great except the video card which is stuck at 16 colors and it says there is no free resources to use. it was working before the crash(which was my fault) but no matter what i do...i tried removing it...removing all cards except it...new drivers...some bios settings...NO LUCK!!! i'm ready to junk the card but i dont think its broken it worked before i screwed the computer up? i hope someone can help me cuz i'm stuck here and i want to finish rebuilding the system.

Thanks!!

I had pretty much the same setup you have. Aopen AX59pro but it was a K6-350 and a ATI Expert 128 vid card. You may want to try this. Get into the bios and disable "PNP OS".It should be a yes or no question and select no. It isn't quit spelled like that but it makes windows setup the reasources instead of the bios. I did this and it solved all my IRQ and reasource problems. Also click on my computer, control panel, system, device manager, and check to see if there are any yellow !!! marks by anything.
