First the system info:
P4 1.6a @ 2.56 (160fsb) @ 1.6v
Abit IT7 /w mod AV
256mb GeIL PC3200 Ultra (214mhz/428ddr)
Albatron Ti4200P Ultra
Thermalright AX-478 /w Sunon Tornado
Sparkle 350w FSP-350BN

I got it all set up today. Everything seems to be pretty sweet, it dropped my idle temps by 10C and allows me to run my CPU at less voltage. Below is mbm with settings at 160fsb Low Strapped 3:4 with the mem at 214 (428ddr). The system is 100% stable. This is just 7 hours after installation so the AS3 hasn't "burnt in" yet, so numbers should drop even further.

Before I had to run the system with the side of the case open and now I can run it with it closed and only 1 case fan sucking air out. The Sunon Tornado is definitely loud but it's growing on me already, kind of goes with my theory "if it ain't loud, it ain't fast".

Here is the mbm pic:

what is your mem and mobo?? i can see that you have a 1.6a, as i am running at the same, but i need a little more voltage for my 1.6a to get there. my mem is running at the same speed however, with only 2.6v, i think your mem should do more, depending on what kind and speed it is.;)

Well, it's up there, GeIL PC3200 Ultra, and Abit IT7.

As for getting the MBM like that, you have to manually go in and change the text and such, basically, default it's set to display as VUM Meter, so you change it to Text Label, and you can also then change the font, etc.

What were your idle/load temps and what are they now with the Ax478/Sunon?

Old temps with YS-Tech HS Fan TMD:
Idle: 52C
Load: 67C

New temps with AX-478 and Sunon Tornado:
Idle: 44C
Load: 52C

How many RPM does that Tornade make? Hell it must be a screamer... and *still* above 50C

Not trying to rain on the parade, but I'm glad I went with watercooling.

Ah, these aren't the actual temps, these are temps that Bios and MBM give on the IT7, using an external sensor, it shows my IT7 max reads temps about 7C too high, so we should prolly go off that.

Okay, that sounds a lot better then. =)

Ah, thanks for that info Radelon. I would also hope that my temps are lower than stated. At the moment they are 39c idle and 50c load. (knowing my luck it's probably correct) ;)

Using the burn p6 (A software optimal to heat up the pIII coppermine cores by mooving data inside the cache... amd flavours too...) I have a 5c elevation on the cpu temperature after it has stabilized, when I open up the case.... Just make some 2 or 3 fans pushing ar inside and 2 or 3 sucking and you will have a fast fresh airflow in the case... Sometimes it helps much more than a cpu heatsink fan upgrade.... Someday your ears will want to get rid of the noise he he... The delta 38cfm 60x25 fan was the fastest but the worst one I´ve bought.... My opinion off course...
Anyway, a nice cooler upgrade off course... :)
