New omegas are out!!!

The new omegas came out about 74 seconds ago. I was sitting there, refreshing their driver page(dont ask) and they appeared!!!

WOW! just ran 3dmark 2003, before with the 4.6 omegas i got 5975 with stock cpu settings, and and with the xt bios flash.

i Just got 6081 with stock cpu settings and xt bios flash, very nice, finally at a 6000 without having to overclock the cpu, now for a 6300!

for all you benchmark people.... on my system I get a slight increase in aquamark3 and a decrease in 3dmark03.... Looks real blocky on the troll test (3) in 3dmark03.

I havent benchmarked yet, but the drivers sure did screw up my AGP acceleration. Easy to fix though, if any else gets this problem, just reinstall/update your motherboard drivers after you install the omega's.

Incredible! Two 03Marks more with new Omegas over DNA 2.6.4.7! I guess its a matter of taste of which ones to use. I'll stick with Omega though.

i dont care about bench marks i just play games. will i see a huge increase of fps if i switch from 4.7 to omega? atleast 10-15 fps right?

Every little bit counts. There is also the chance of better stability and more features than the old drivers.

Xeno, I'm going to wait for your results before I install these on my system. Some drivers tailored for the new generation of cards don't work as well with the older gen cards. The 9700 and 9500 are from the same era, design.

Using 2AA and 8AF

4.7 Cat:
3d01 = 15846
3d03 = 5660

4.7 Omega: Improvement
3d01 = 15851 +5
3d03 = 5666 +6


No AA and No AF with 4.7 Omegas:
3d01 = 16036
3d03 = 5790


So I moved up a whole whopping 5 or 6 points in the 3dmarks. Every little bit helps. Plus I like the new control panel.

I didn't notice any change at all. The suicide trolls test runs fairly smoothly. If I was smart I would have done a comparison between the fps on each test. Oh well, maybe when I get the new Zalman vga cooler and the heatsinks, then Ill post the results.
