Sunny Florida, you can keep the midwest!!
Let us start from the top, I built the original KK266R back in March. Everything went together great, no conflicts or problems, overclocked smoothly. 7 weeks later, while just checking forums, my mobo fried. Called the vendor, got a RMA# and sent it out. I had to wait 4 &1/2 weeks to get a new board. A week ago Friday I received the new mobo and put it back together. Nothing , blank screen, had it checked and am told they sent another bad mobo.
I am going to try Iwill directly and hope for a speedier turn around time. My question is; has anyone had to wait long for an RMA from Iwill? This really sucks having to use my old PII 333mhz. system. I want my T-bird back.
I am actually considering switching to an Abit KT7A-R mobo, as much as I like the Iwill when it was working, it is very frustrating. The Tech at the local shop said they stopped carrying Iwill because they had about a 30-40% bad board problem.

That sucks! I love my mobo but I think the vendor is screwing with you and probably sent you the same bad mobo after they "fixed" it! I would asked the vendor to send you a new mobo at teh same time you return it! cross shipping! then you know it is a different board. what vendor did you use?

Well, if they had a 10% bad board rate and tried sending the bad boards back the customer 3 or 4 times that could be 30-40% RMA rate depending how you look at it.

Daniel, I am not kinding, the local shop said that was the reason they stopped selling Iwill MOBO's
The vendor I purchased my board from is Axion Technologies;
I am going to Iwill USA a last chance, if they can get me a new pre-tested KK266R in a timely fashion I am going to try again. I really like how the board performs.
Has anyone had to send their board back to Iwill?

You are sure it is the board right and not the processor? I only ask because it seems rather...unlikely...that you'd get a bad board back from an RMA. You did check the processor and other components out in another machine, right?

i have sent 3 boards back to them and they always send me one within the same week, usually 2-3 days later. and since i live practically next door to them, i get it the next day... but i've never had a problem with rma'ing a board from them.... no hassles whatsoever. no questions asked. just gave me a new board each time. so if i were you, i'd send it to iwill and i'm 99% sure they will send you one right away... based on my experiences anyhow.

Thanks AWOL, that eases my mind. I was not looking forward to another month of waiting. Plus the kids and I fight over who is on the PC. That is why I have not been able to be on line as much. I miss the forum.
Once again, thanks

I hope you get it working fine! where do you buy your panaflos? Also which 80mm are you running?

I called Iwill today and they gave me an RMA # immediately w/ no problems. The tech told me it would be a 2-3 turn around and they would reimburse the shipping.
As far as the fans, they are Panaflo 80mm- 39.6 cfm w/ home made rheostat.. go here for fans, they usually have them;

i'm glad to see things are working for ya... and that iwill is still doing a good job in the rma dept. good luck... and you should get your new board in no time!
