I have to tell you that a small monetary investment has paid in great dividends.

New scores for 3dMark 2001 is 5951 (click here for image).

I am done tweaking for the time being. I have spent enough hours and have become gravely familiar with my new motherboard's softmenu III, so I think it's time to sit back and use this system for a while.

I won't be going anywhere, but I need a break from benchmarking!! This has been a culmination of everything I have learned since April on this site. For those, like Placid and Zoop, who have been encouraging and helpful, I say thanks. It's all paid off :)... well, except for my credit card, that might take a month or two!!

Wow........really....Wow......that's what I'm talkin' about. What a score. Great job man. You see, persistence really does pay off :) It's cool to be able to share your victory with fellow O/Cer's too. Congrats. You've got the right idea, just sit back and enjoy your computer. Nothing like a cold DNA and a Quake killing spree.

Just as an update on my situation, I got a new Geforce 2 GTS with 64mb of DDR and I must say it's a lot nicer than the MX card. The ddr memory is amazing, I love it. I don't have my 3dmark scores on hand with me right now but keep a look out for A post I intend on doing that will compare the MX with the GTS. I'll be back to tweaking on my card again and I don't' think it will include any orbs this time ??? I did order a Super micro fine silver contact pen to try fixing my MX card. I figured it's worth a try. That project will at least waste an hour if nothing else :)

Congrats and enjoy. Hope you don't have to sell your first born child to pay it off ???

*edit*
And one more thing. YOUR WELCOME I'm always willing to help out , even if I send my gremlins after your PC hardware. "Whistle while you work"

I have too many kids as it is.

I get 80FPS in UT at highest everything, 32 bit, and 1024x768... I'd say that rocks!!

I get 6303 on my 3DMark2k1.

If I had enough cooling to run a reactor core stable for a few hours (like you do), I might be there too! :)

Love this card though, even if I'm not the king-of-the-hill.

By the way, I scored an even 11000 on 3DMark2000 today. WOOHOO! LOL!

I was wondering what it would be like to see 5 rows of numbers... you didn't happen to make a screen shot?

That's very high, even with good equipment that's a great score. Of course, we're really dwarfs compared to some out there (using dry ice/liquid nitrogen for super-overclocking).

nice job pinky... i am indeed envious... i am just edging up to 5588 on my Elsa. I need to really spend more time tweaking this thing... your score is with no artifacts, correct?

Naturally, artifacting for video is like blue screens booting windows while overclocking your cpu... it doesn't count unless it works (and in this case, the video is smooth and flawless).
