The 8-pin is 12V_1 and required. The 4-pin 12V_2 is optional. As you have it is perfectly fine. If you have another 4-pin for it, its is a choice to use it. There will be no benefits or harm either way.
Wow, it's been a minute! Ok, everything is together, tied up and apparently working. I'd like to put it through a stress test just to see how it does. Any specific one recommended? The ASUS MB has a built in test. I just did 5 min to see if it worked. Says "passed" but I dont see any other data.
ok. I'll download that later tonight when I check to see if the wifi works.
Its so empty inside that case! I don't like the cable management on the back either. Those pwr cables are a few inches short, imo.
Thanks. So simple of a build. I also hid the M.2. Drive just for a extra cleaner look.
I do have those SSDs in RAID 1 too. Was pretty simple, Windows 10 does it for you pretty simple.
Is there a free stress test? Last I used was OCCT. I just want something where I can post the results and u guys can see if it's good enough (as a whole). I know on the video portion it will take a hit.
Ok, didn't see this. Right now I'm doing a stress test with the installed Intell version. The AVX or something like that. How long do I run the prime 95?
Ok, noob here... just started Prime 95 on blended torture test. I had to Google this, but it just runs until a fail occurs? How long should I let it run? I mean its a basic build, nothing extreme, so i assume it should work well.
ok, i might have done this correctly. i ran Prime 95 for 4 ish hours. did not see a fail. i included a screen shot of the intel stress test, but again, can't read it! lol.
i think we can call this good and done!
