My sub box pc. Well, it doesn't have any parts in it yet, but it will be a watercooled DVD/MP3/LAN/Folding Box:

The case was a generic mid tower - the only good thing is that it had a removable mobo tray. I only used the case chassie, all the rest is 1/2" MDF with speaker carpet over the top, and a bit of marine ply.

wouldnt carpet insulate and not radiate heat from the case? not sure but seems so too me,but with enough fans (which it looks like you have) you should be just fine

It is going to be water cooled for the most part - the rest is going to be ducted air straight from outside the case. I think that it will be fine - except maybe if I left it sitting in the sun all day :) - but who's computer would last that anyway?

That is awsome, but is there carpet inside? Maybe that will dampen the noise and make it quiet.

hehe...better than that - there is acoustic foam in there. Hopefully it will be pretty well silent.

Off topic - Mr. $T$ is that your VW? I'm looking to get one and do some mods on it.

edit: saw your sig - how does it go, and what have you done to it?
