I am helping my friend build him a system. I cant seem to find everything he wants for the prices and he cant buy everything at one time. So can you list the deals first so that he can get those and get the rest near his budget. I think the budget is 900 to about 1100 but i cant be too sure for the price. The major game he is playing right now is World Of Tanks but cant say what he will play later. He doesn't want to overclock and doesn't need too big of a hard drive. He would also like a Blu-ray burner if the price is too high he said he would like a light scribe dvd burner. The monitor he would like to have a 24 inch but I dont think he can for the budget hes got. The other request is that the the case have leds in the fans. Speakers I was looking at alest 2.1 sound for them and keyboards and mice I he wants them to be wired. I cant think of anything else so ask the questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can with his answers.

The OS would be Windows 7 Home Premium if needed to be cheaper but Windows 7 Pro would do better for him.

Hes not sure now he told me he didnt want to pay 1500 for my first one I showed him but he doesnt know how much he wants to pay.

no speakers are a personal thing, as are leds in a case, you can try to find a different case in the place, thats jsut the budget case i suggest to people.

edit: you could downgrade the vid card to a 6870 and pick up a nice set of headphones prolly.

Ok looks good but he really doesn't need the SSD and the heat sink just needs the stock one. He does have a good pair of head phones but the speakers I all i know is the 2.1 are really good and that would be good to have out put to the monitor other then that he doesnt really care about speakers. I have a few cases that might interest him but would need to know if they are good user friendly cases NZXT Apollo, RAIDMAX ATX-321WB, NZXT LEXA S LEXS - 001BK, COOLER MASTER Storm Scout, and last one for now Thermaltake Element G.

i personally would take the element g or the scout, dont care for the ither ones. The ssd isnt a must have but with his budget theres no reason not to, it makes a huge difference. i am getting mine as soon as income tax return gets here. the cooler isnt a must have either, i just dont care for the intel cooler, they arent all that amazing to me. if hes not going to overclock shave some cash off the build by switching to a 2500 without the k, also change his board out for a h61 to save even more money. howver, the build i put together would still be viable in 2+ years assuming he will learn to overclock. its rather easy. you could switch out the asrock board for an asus board to make overclocking that much easier. i build my 2600k to last 4 years, will it? i doubt it. could it and not be totally outdated? the cpu can atleast

If he's playing mostly online games and no heavy hitters like BF3 or Skyrim...I'd go with this. Everything for about $1170, since there's $60 in MIRs.

Big thing is he has Turtle Beach Ear Force Delta Headset but I need speakers so he doesn't have to use the headphones all the time all they have to do is last. He doesn't need that so saves some money there. Razer I cant be too sure about I had there keyboard and it messed up after 2 days of use. I also know the SSD is really great but hes used to the slow so the 6.0gbs drives will blow him away for right now. He cant buy all that at one time too he has to buy the stuff gradually right now so alot of the promos wont be around. Sorry but he has enough for some fun but not all at one time.

If he doesn't have the money to buy all at the same time, then start with the case, OS, dvd and bluray drives. Then progress to the remainder. He's going to need to buy the mobo, CPU, RAM, HDD, PS and monitor all at the same time though unless he has another computer in which he can test functionality of RAM, HDD, PS and the monitor. If you're looking for a good build plan, go with Vortaku's minus the SSD.

Can I use the combo with the hard drive and the power supply that Kunfire showed me. I found out he can pay for the computer I was probably saying the wrong amount before so he can pay for it all at once.

That hard drive and power supply are good. Both builds that have been provided so far are good. You should be able to pick and choose which components would suit your friend best and within his budget. These guys are awesome when it comes to choosing parts for your build. :)
