Pepsi,

Man, you went First Class and got it all. Good luck and a great system!

Hey guys, little good news, little bad news. First, the bad: i think one of the sticks of memory was causing the problem. The good: the other stick works perfectly. I removed the stick i suspected was the problem and now i can run css without issue and im currently re-installing 3dmark to see if that works. Hopefully i can get this all cleared up before the end of the night.

edit: i just replaced the good stick with the stick i had previously taken out to see if 3dmark would work and it runs fine. Im guessing that its a problem with the motherboard then?

And more bad news. I just noticed this but it seems that the pcb is actually bent on one half of the motherboard. Take a look

should i RMA due to the combination of dead ram-slot and bent pcb?

Pepsi,

Can't make out your MB photo, little dark. Post a couple more angles shots. They are not "flat," there is some natural flex in them. Now if it's downright "bent" and you can see a crease in it, then it's junk.

Well, it is a little flexed in that picture, but I believe that is just because of the weight of the CPU HSF and the video card. I'd bet that in the case it'll be pretty flat.

You need to run stability tests to see what the problem is. First, if you suspect the RAM, run each stick by itself with Memtest. Let it run through 2 complete passes. Then switch to the next. If they both pass, then boot into windows and run that Orthos Prime program I linked to previously.
