Maybe they downgraded the cache too.OC Detective said:
Precisely - anyway how could a piece of software have inside information into AMD's manufacturing to know that a certain chip was downgraded! Somebody yesterday had their chip downgraded from an XP2500 - pretty clever considering it was a Tbred.....................

Today, I got my order, that I placed 2 weeks ago and what I got, is:
1x brown 1700+ JUIHB DUT3C 0302 WPMW
3x green 1700+ JIUHB DLT3C 0308 RPMW
Hope they'll clock like hell!
BTW, as my crappy Albatron KT400 board can't reach any FSB higher than 180 MHz, while maintaining a stable operating environment, I'll soon get me a Abit NF7 Rev.1.2 and 2x 256MB of the brand new Twinmos PC3700 RAM!! This system will rock, if one of these above mentioned Tbreds can reach 2,5GHz or more! Well, a Radeon 9500 is to come too. I nearly forgot!!!

technote said:I just got two of these...
AXDA1700DLT3C
JIUHB 0308SPMW
Zapped all of the L3 and reconnect first two pair to make it 17*133MHz (my A7M266-D can only go upto 145MHz)... reconnected last pair of L5 to make it SMP-able... should be a major upgrade over my Duron 1333MHz (133MHz*10 oc from 1200MHz)
To those who lives in Toronto, Canada, I got it stright from a supplier, all the newer stock should be the DLT3C kind, even for 1800. Sales-rep told me that there are planty of these chips... to those who wants to upgrade, and not in a rush, could save a couple bucks when tthese chips are everywhere. I paid CDN$84+tax for each, which is ~US$50 (V.S. US$69 to US$79 i have seen on the web)
That's all for now, I will update when I got home.

Tell us how it goes. I can only select multipliers up to 12.5 on the MSI k7d, and I'm not quite sure what I should hardcode them to...
xtrmeocr said:are these tbred A's? i read in another forum that the DLT3C is a tbred A. truth or not

mine are both Bs... there is an easier way to tell Tbred A or B, I dunno why no one seems to use it... on all of the AMD CPUs, there is a 5 digit code on the CPU board...
Palomino = 27111
Thoroughbred A = 27178
Thoroughbred B = 27291
Barton = 27488
hope this helps.
