New Tbred w/ DLT3C?

To run at over 1.85v you would need to have a peltier, or phase change cooling. Even with a prometia, Jc had to stay under 2v.

Tbreds are hot for their clock speeds and their decreased size/surface area to transfer heat to the heatsink.

Tbred As ran hot, the original Tbred Bs ran a lot cooler.

But these NEWER(Weeks 7 and onwards) DLT3C JIUHBs run MUCH hotter than the older JIUHBs(weeks earlier than 7 this year).

That was the point we were trying to make, not just that Tbreds are hot, but these newer ones are even hotter ;)

My DLT3C doesn't seem to run hotter than my other JIUHB 1700+ or my AIUHB 2100+ at the same clock speed and voltage. Of course, when it is cranked up to 2500 mHz it gets pretty hot

I just picked up my cpu and it reads the following on the black AMD label:

AXDA1700DUT3C
9728686272466
JIUHB0308WPMW

Here's the catcher, there is a white label on the chip that says" Warranty void if removed" with a UPC bar code label and it lists the first sequence of the chip ID as:

AXDA1700DLT3C

Could this be an error on AMD's labelling process and they stuck a label on after the fact indicating the true operating voltage of the chip meaning this chip is actually a DLT3C and not a DUT3C as denoted on the black label?

the white label with the barcode is most likely from the company you bought the chip from. I know newegg.com uses the same white labels w/barcodes...

I guess there is no chance then :( I was really hoping to get one of these DLT3C's so I picked this one up because I thought there was a chance that it was because of the white label, when I get home I'll report back what it does nonetheless.

Just called AMD support to confirm the label thing....It turns out that it is a DUT3C  One thing I must say, man they are really nice at AMD, the girl was super nice with me on the phone, kinda of sexy if you ask me, it sounded like a hot chick and she started talking about core voltage it made me all excited  . I dunno, but it is worth a try to see if this $60 CPU Can take out my $100 XP2100+. I still want a DLT3C though

After reading your post I went to take a look at my AXDA1700DUT3C and it also has the white label AXDA1700DLT3C.
Funny I never read or pay attention to these distributer stickers. I was only scanning the black AMD tag when I was pick my chip.

Distributer must of been to lazy to change the code and print a new batch of stickers when he came across a batch of DUT3C's

If they only new the ramifications of the "L" and "U" code they would understand how foolish they look.

That's hilarious! Core voltage!

Update

Not too shabby for a 1700+ DUT3C, but I still would prefer a DLT3C cause of the lower voltage.

What's the number? I wanna call. :D

Strangely enough, that would probably be sexy. ;)

I should be getting my DLT3C on Wednesday or Thursday. I'll let you know how it goes.

DLT3C JIUHB0308 2ghz with vcore undervolted to 1.42volts using a crappy heatsink fan ..... really nice chip .... can't wait to watercool this baby

Am I reading the temps right? 19C for cpu? I don't think that is right

Methinks it's not aircooling due to the massive vcore being pumped through there, as well as the afore-mentioned temp. What cooling are you using phobix?

tediber: That's awesome! I think one test I'm going to do when I get mine is see exactly how low it'll undervolt at stock speeds.

226watt Pelt + Waterblock + 300GPH Pump + Dodge Van heater core with 4x120mm 132cfm fans, water temp was @ 23c for the above screenie. I checked the wattage calculations and that CPU at that level of vcore is dissipating about 170watts of heat..Ouch...All the more reason I want the DLT3C

Very nice man...I can;t wait to get mine this Friday :D

Well 2.25 is about the highiest I can get using 1.675 volts and for some reson I cant use any higher voltage it just want boot past 1.75 and want run prime @ 1.7. All I can say is I hope noone get one of the chips I got hehe O well 2.2 is alright but I guess I'll be going back to my 2100 brfore to long 2.3 and 2.4 was much better for me.
