Correction its a P2L97 board

I have a PII 300 sl2w8. How do i figure out if my processor is overclockable. I looked on the intel site and i know its 2.0 volt processor.
I tried bumping up the mutiplier but it stays at 300mhz. Please help. Thanks

A couple of recommendations- On the opening page there are some articles that explain the basics of voerclocking processors, such as "why the multiplier adjustments" don't work on Intel cpu's. Also there is a database of different cpu types that shows the typical performance of different cpu's, and the hardware that was required to make them happy.

If that doesn't answer your questions directly, it will give you an idea of the type of information to provide on these forums to be able to obtain help from the many knowledgeable folks.

Good luck

Tim

The P2L97 has various FSB settings. All of those motherboards I had would run at 83 Mhz FSB with all of the Celeron's except the 466 (it would lock up at 83Mhz FSB). Give er some extra FSB, and let er rip.
