new water cooling idea

i got this idea when i was changing the coolent in my car last week.. anyway would this be possable (see attached picture. if it worked) to have a bypass channel under the normal say sprial design. have a water block that has a solid coper core to contact the cpu, but have a lower path for extra cooling or as a backup for when the temperatures get to hot..

im still working on the idea just like to get some input on it.. thanks
 
My Thought

I'm kinda wary about running the coolant right on the chip, you would have to use some sort of di-electric fluid so that if it were to penetrate the die, it would not short anything out.
