I have heard about overclocking for a while and i finally want to get down to buisness and give it a go.
My system: P2 MMX400 (although in my Chipset features, doing "del" on startup.says Jumperless Setup - Manufacture Freq. 350, Clock Speed Spectrum. off , System Freq. 400, has this been overclocked already????)
My motherboard: Aopen AX63 :Specs:
Chipset: Via Apollo Pro Plus AGPset
ARchitecture:isa x2, pci x5, agp x1
cache:eek:n the cpu card (???)
Memory:DIMM x3, maximum 768MB
Bios:Award plug & play, 2M bit Flash ROM BIOS (I have downloaded the latest, but haven't installed yet)
Onboard I/O: Serial Port x2, FDD x2, UDMA/33 IDE x2, USB x2

Motherboard Features:

Full-Range cpu core voltage (from 1.3v - 1.5v)
Support 100MHZ FSB and clock generator Up to 153Mhz for Overclocker
Cpu and housing fan monitor
cpu thermal protection
system voltage monitoring

That's about most of the important stuff i think.

I would like to know if anyone has O/C 'ed with this cpu and this motherboard
, and can i O/C mildly without any extra cooling?

I'm not at all familiar with your setup, but a lot will depend on your temps. Do you have any type of monitor for temps? Is there one in the bios?

You'll definitely need to know current temps before you can go any further. If your temps are fairly low, you should be able to overclock it slightly without adverse side effects, but again the current temp is very important.
