Fedex just delivered my 1700+ from newegg. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky enough to get one of the L cpus.

Check out what the Fedex dude just dropped off:

Nearly the exact same chip as SVC.com has, but it only cost $42 shipped. This was supposed to be a friends chip, but I'm going to test it out and see how high it can go. If it does better than my current 1700+, this bad boy is mine. Muwahahahaha :D

after reading this i just had to post! i received DUT3C orginally from NewEgg for $45. and i'm building one for my friend and i ordered another one ($42) and go the 0319 DLT3C. so i'm switching the cpu since he only wanted 2.0 ghz anyways ;)

I think for some reason the DLT3's are better...could be wrong tho.
Does anyone know where I can find like an AMD chip FAQ? or something explaining stepping etc???

ah haaaah. What about the numbers, what do they mean? and where did you find out that they come with a lower voltage?

Which set? The numbers between the stepping and the letters? If so, that's the date of manufacture. Take this for example:

AXDA1700DUT3C
JIUHB0313SPMW

The "0313" would mean that it was made in the 13th week of 2003. First two is the year, second two is the week.

As far as where I got this... there was a member whose name escapes me that posted a link to information about TBreds....

Newegg's XP2400 Tbred Bs for ~$80 bux ain't a bad deal either. After you do the L5 mod, you'll have a couple of MPs for chicken feed.
