NewEgg and "return for same item only"

Is it just me, or is this saying, "Don't buy me! I will probably be plagued with problems, and when you RMA me, the replacement will be just as bad."

Have any of you purchased an item with this warning? How did it work out?

That message usually comes with clearance items. You take a chance when you buy this way. Sometimes you get a really good deal, other times you get screwed. You'll probably find out more in the Vendor Discussion section.

It usually comes with items that are brand new too. Items that will usually have huge price cuts in a month. So to prevent people from renting them and taking a 15% restocking hit for an item that comes down 50% in price, they do that. Thats also why they dont give you 30 days with CPUs.
