Whats the point in cooling the south bridge? And what exactly is the mosfets. The area above to the right/ left of the processor?

The Mosfets, or voltage regulators, are the little black square ICs to the left of the processor socket. They heat up when you overvolt your Vcore, and adding little sinks to them will (usually) signifigantly lower the voltage fluctuation that inevitably occurs with this board at higher VDD, VDIMM, and Vcore voltages - as long as you have a fan on them, or spillover airflow from a heatsink fan on the processor.

Some experience crackling sound from overvolting the VDD voltage, or running with a high FSB, putting a heatsink on the southbridge solves the problem for most who experience it - and isn't a bad idea at high VDD voltages, and high FSB bandwidths.

It wouldnt hurt and it would definitely help increase stability if you do it well. I actually did it just 2 days ago and it helped out my voltages quite a bit.

I see in your sig you did the L12 mod. What fsb did you get before that? It shows 223 in your sig as fsb. I get around 225 max stable w.o the l12 mod. Im afraid to try the L12 mod though.. ";/

It helped stabalize my voltages a lot. My core voltage doesnt drop as much as it used to while running p95. It could also be that my power supply sucks though. As for the L12 mod im not exactly sure what my max is. I know i can hit 227 easily but i havent really pushed it past that since my ram cant handle those speeds yet though this isnt really the place to be discussing this.
