Ok I've look on the sites and in the forums and I can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

I want to get this board but I just can't find the following information.

Does it support serial ata raid 0? I've looked on their site and I'm not sure what they're trying to say. Something about only on optional boards and with an adapter called Serialllez or something. I got 2 Raptors. Work or not work?

Does it support ide raid 0 or do I need to buy a card for that?

As you can see from my sig I have one of each type of raid array but I'm not overly pleased with the performance. I would like to have onboard support for at least Serial ata but I do realize that an add on card should be faster.

Anyone help me out?

Thanks.

Yeah, I think it supports SATA RAID 0 and 1. Also, if you have Raptor drives, you wont' need Serillel adapters (one is included with the board, though.) They are to convert a IDE drive to SATA. I use one, and never did any benchmarking if its better to have my IDE drive on IDE or SATA. I don't think there would be much improvement though, but since I can use the SATA cables, its much cleaner.

Correct, although the board comes with an adapter to hook IDE drives up to the SATA interface. If you had two IDE drives, and two adapters, you could run IDE RAID off of the SATA RAID chip. But you don't...and your two Raptors will work just fine. :)

Make sure you have an updated BIOS though - older BIOSes screw up the RAID controller.
