[Need Info] Ms Dx 9.1 + Nvidia
Hey all
okay, i need some info and clarification if anyone can.
Rumour has it that with DX 9.1 MS is working with NVIDIA to optimise Dx 9.1 for NVIDIA 32bit code (since nvidia uses both 16 and 32 while ati uses 24?) - giving a possible %60 increase in performace in FX line cards.
Anyways - can someone give me some info on the 16/32 NVIDIA vs the ATI 24bit and how it works and the differences? Searches on google have resulted in rathger uninformative sites.
Also any links / info to articles about this tag team of MS and NVIDIA - and possibly any for MS + ATI dx10?
My thought it that the only way the FX line could get more performance from a new DX line is if they toned it down....
all thoughts - info / facts / assumptions welcome!
