NO MIC. with WinXP and Audigy

I just upgraded to Win XP pro. with the SB Audigy card. When I try to set up my Mic. levels for games I get a loud sound and thats it. I have done the driver updates for the SB as well. All my setting are as they were on Win98. Any sugg??

Did you upgrade the os or did you do fresh install? I would recomend doing a fresh install then installing the newest drivers from the manufactures website.
