Heaven forfend that we actually consider something here . . . something . . . different.

This is NOT Diablo II, and that is NOT a bad thing!

If I wanted Diablo II, I'd play Diablo II. I don't want Diablo II w/ a new paint job, I want a new, unique game in the series and it sounds like Blizzard is trying hard to give us that. Let's wait to see what develops.

Shiggity, for me i made one player and that was it, i didnt play D2 for PvP i played it to play it, i would start a game, and make a character as i went, i wasnt one of these people who had 1 of each one for certain servers...


Oni, this is why i am not passing full judgment until the game is out, the items may work out well, but when you change such significant things that made your past games SO successfully... your risking alot...

i love the art direction they are going in, nothing else has bothered me but i loved diablo for being able to create my own unique character, not a cookie cutter one that will be the same as most other players once further into the game.

That old arguement "the art style sucks because it's not as dark as D2!" was pretty pointless.

Anyway, for the people worrying about stats, I posted the link to runes customization in the other thread "battle.net may not be free in the future". That new rune system is going to be very fun, to say the least.

Seriously, until the finished product is out, just play the wait and see game, we are only getting bits and peices, and very little ones at that. For all we know, the game comes out and you lose track of all time for 6 years. Or you throw it in the trash, who knows? Nobody, that's who.

Lets face it...after beating the same D2 game 10 times over...it literally became a clickfest item hunting game for most players. The pokemon effect.
