After countless problems with my dfi nf3 250gb... it finally died.

I posted a majority of these problems on dfi-street to no avail...

support sucks... board sucked....

Asus is getting my business.....

sorry to hear that man.
Get an RMA going and sell it on eBay or a forum.
Use the dough towards a nice lil Christmas present for yourself.
Best of luck on the new rig!

Long beeps, dont know whats going on.
Rgone gave u soecific advise
You can try the overnite cmos clear with the battery out or you can hotflash the bios back to life with another board the bios chip fits in.
Did you try any of it ???? It's up 2 you 2 provide feedback no feedback no answers.

Luck with the Asus ;)

Yeah, i tried it. I also tried a hotflash too, but the known good bios chip didnt work. ( I aquired it from a local shop ) I replaced the battery... I swapped ram, cpu, and graphics card... it just didnt want to function anymore.

alternatively if u don't feel comfortable hotflashing get a new bios chip.
this removes the need hot flash - the new bios chip goes in your non working board replacing your corrupted 1.

Any way Luck with the Asus

yeah, but why buy a new chip only to deal with the problems I had before again?(although, now that i mention it, i didnt explain my problems before)

Sometimes it wouldnt boot, I'd have to reset the CMOS so often it was rediculous.

Another reason im switching is because this is my second nf3 250Gb, my first was DOA. I contacted newegg and they sent me a new one no prob. The second was fine for a good 2-3 months. Then I switched CPU's for a week (to play with a sempron)... and I didnt experience problems untill i switched back to my 3200+. I flashed my bios 3 times. And this last flash seemed to help, because all my problems went away... then this sudden death thing came. Now i cant get rid of these long beeps.

I'm simply fed up with playing with it, spending money on shipping it back and forth...

like i said... ****ty board, ****ty support ... asus gets my business.

Probably bad luck... but I've never ever had a problem with Asus. So instead of shipping this board back for an RMA, and waiting a week or two to get a new one... i'm just going to save myself the trouble and get an Asus.

Doubtful it's bad luck. I had 2 crappy nF4 SLI-DR, my 3rd board has been running fine. I just don't think DFI has very good QC and they are known for using el cheapo FETS.
