on my msi k7n2 its very easy to set everything up, but on my new asrock duel board theres jumpers all over the place!!!!!! could anyone help me out with the wiring up of this board. all the motherboards ive had have been really easy!

I wouldnt worry about the jumpers just yet untill you plan to OC, which in that case im not even sure if you will ever use them. Just plug in the ATX power connector, the 4 pin connector, and if there is a molex connector, connect that. Then just boot and you should be good to go.

Yup, the only jumpers you should really concern yourself with is the clear CMOS one (if you oc so far that the Boot guardian can't kick in).

Don't worry about the future cpu port jumpers, you only need to mess with those if you get the M2 expansion board and an M2 cpu. Your motherboard will come configured to use a S939 cpu.

Other than the huge amount of jumpers used to configure the CPU socket, there are only 4 other jumpers on the board (according to the manual), and you really only have to worry about 1 of them (Clear CMOS).

I think he means exhibit 17 from the ASRock Manual. (pg.19) http://www.asrock.com/Drivers/Manual/939Dual-SATA2.pdf

(17) System Panel Header (PANEL1)

"System Panel Header: (9-pin PANEL1) (see p.8 No. 17)
This header accommodates several system front panel functions."

I only use the the Power and Reset. Yellow Power & Blue Reset, consult the manual for the other system front panel function indicators.

yep. if u look on page 8, items 17, 18, 21, 22, 26 and 27. do the plugs have to go on a certain way? my case has 2 front usb ports that i use, which plug would i put them on. thanks.

17 is the LED/Switch panel for the Power button and reset switch it will not matter which way you plug them in. The Power led and hdd led must be plugged in a certain way for the LED to work properly (current in a diode only flows one way), I believe you want the side of the connector with writing pointing up (although if it doesn't work, flip it around, no big deal). The only difference I have seen here from this motherboard and any other that I have ever used is that for some reason they have a 2 pin Power LED and most Power LED connectors have an empty space between the + and - leads, so you may have to cut your connector at the empty space.

18. If your case has a speaker plug its connector there, again with writing side pointing up. Also this is another very standard connector for any motherboard.

21,22. Put your front USB ports on either of these, if you are lucky there will be a peg in your connector so you can only put it one way, otherwise look at the connector and there should be one wire missing, conveniently enough there is one pin missing on the motherboard USB header, match up the two missing connects and plug in. Look at Section 2.6 for a zoom in view of the USB headers.

26. This is a connector for a gamepad/joystick port. There was no such port bracket supplied with the motherboard, so I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, I haven't seen a non-usb gamepad in years.

27. Plug case connector in here if you have headphone/mic connectors on the front of your case, otherwise leave it clear. Again you want to match up the missing wire with the missing pin to get the correct orientation.
