hi i just upgraded my pc to win 7 64 bitand i am wondering what is possible to do to speed my pc up.

the hardware that i have is

intel quad core 2.4
nvidia 9600gt
ep35-ds3r m'board
4x 1gig kingston 800mhz
lg 20 speed dvd burner
600w power supply
a sata raid0 on 2x 7200 speed wd 160 gig drives
if i wanted to oc this pc what would that take and how fast could i go?

thanks in advance

i would like to overclock my pc but i also want it to stay stable.

i hope to keep this pc for the next few years.

i am interested in bang for my buck, and would like to know what sort of cooling would suit my pc and the sort of output that i could expect.

also i have the standard gigabyte oc programs, and i would like to know if they are suitable

thanks again

Got a budget in mind? If you want to keep it on the low side and play primarily games, AMD would probably be OK for you.

OTOH if you want screaming fast computer and don't mind spending a lot, look into getting a socket 1366 board with i7 now. Then you can get the i9 CPU when it comes out.

State your budget limit and we can guide you in the right direction.

The oc software you have generally only works with the board they are designed for. So your gigabyte program probably won't work on non-Gigabyte boards.

Oh, and :welcome: to this forum!

i already have the setup described in the first pane of this forum.

the question is how to get the best reliable performancee out of it

thanks
