This is the strangest thing. My last set of ram I was running at 480mhz with 2.3v (2.2v rated) and after a couple months my computer started rebooting randomly. I ran memtest and it didn't come up with any errors after 6 hours. I figured it was the ram for some reason and exchanged it then everything was working 100% perfect.

So this time I decided to run it at a slower speed at 2.25v (Don't have 2.2v option in bios, and 2.15v is unstable). It has been running fine for about 2 months again and now it has just recently started to randomly reboot. I have ran memtest for a couple hours and I don't get any errors.

This is the exact same problem I was having last time. Think my ram could be overheating? The cpu fan sucks air right past the ram so they are only a bit warm, but definitely not hot.

Is this just luck of the draw? I do use the memory heavily. Lots of multiple parity recovery for several different groups of large files, while re-encoding dvds.

Could you post your settings from cpu section of bios and memory section.

What speed are these ballistixs?

Did you run prime with one small and one large fft.

It looks like he is running them at 420mhz 4-4-4-12 and 2.25v according to his sig and post. If memtest is passing I would go ahead and rule out the memory. Im thinking maybe something else is happening here. Perhaps you aren't using enough voltage for the 3.36Ghz clock? Have you tried increasing the voltage just a little? That may be causing a very slight instability.

inkfx is correct in my settings. However, I have now lowered my OC down to 3208Mhz, 401 FSB. Same problem. Same problem as the first time my ram died.

I have not run prime, but orthos runs just fine for 3-5 hours until it randomly reboots again with no errors shown in orthos. I have tried setting it for just CPU load and for mixed, both no errors just a reboot.

What I don't get is the first time my computer was having problems it definitely was the ram, even though it had 0 memtest errors.
