Hi.

I was messing around with some of the tweaks for WinXP in the Microsoft OS Forum and after I turned on the LargeSystemCache = 1 I found that when I loaded up FarCry, the graphics were glitched out unless it was the lowest details and 3DMark2k3 crashes with a "DrawIndexedPrimitive failed - Out of Video Memory" error after about half-way though the Mother Nature test. Is there any way I can get my video memory back, or am I just stuck without the cache option enabled? Thanks.

Yeah, I've already changed it back. I was just curious to see if there was any way to get that video memory to work.

EDIT: Does anyone know why changing the memory usage from Programs to System Cache (what that command does) takes away from my video ram? I'm kinda confused on that. Does it make Windows try to turn the RAM on the vid card into system RAM?

Becuase the memory is basiccally said to give prioroty to the system cache and not to the current program you are running - i assume that would be why :D

I've had no luck with ATI cards and changing the priority to System Cache from Programs. I used to get all sorts of irritating glitches in my games and even in Windows. I'd suggest putting it back to Programs. It was the only way I could find to clear up the issues I was having.
