Well, my birthday is on the 28th of march....and i want to upgrade my system. Im not sure what i need/want to upgrade though. Im fine with the cpu, and 9800 pro. I think im fine with the hard drive too for now. Unless its really worth to get a raptor...I dont know, whatever you guys say ill take into consideration. The thing ive been kind of wanting though is a new 'work station'. Just because what i have now is sort of cramped and i want more room for a second monitor and to do my homework.

Im available to any ideas though. Thanks

Totally Agree

Space is a premium go for more room to stretch out.You still have a pretty decent machine even by todays standards.

MassRaptor

Its hard to read your sig with those colors and this background...

But from what I can see is you have the Hitachi 120G...dont waste your money on a single raptor...raptors dont really shin unless in a raid setup...

If you want to upgrade your HDD...look at the WD or Maxtor 300+G HDD's with 8/mb cache...will be just as fast and in some cases faster then a single raptor with 3x's the storage space...

Alright....

Im getting a 250-300 gb no matter what right now for the file server which is full as can be with the little dinky 30 gb it has as of now....So im not positive if i really WANT/need a new hard drive after im getting a new one anyways....But very possible. I mean i dont store many things on my computer as of now. All my music and such is on the file server for everyone in my family.

go for a 16mb cache harddrive if you get one, they outperform the raptors in most ways in a single drive setup. (Raptors still have the seek time though)
