nope the bios has to be flashed before windows, its like trying to defrag a hard drives pagefile and system files while windows is running, IT JUST DONT HAPPEN! Floppy drives are cheap and i always like to have one handy!

Squeeky what motherboard you have? Check the downloads page on their website, they might have a utility there for you (asus has one, abit has one too i think)

umm i dont think he is flashing his mobo bios, he put it in the nvidia section so i assume hes trying to flash his video card, thats what nvflash is for anyway. and this has to be done prior to winblows!

That is a great idea....then you can just put whatever files/tools you need on that small partition and then boot to a DOS boot CD, as you stated, and fix your problems. Cool idea! (There's programs that will let you boot from a DOS OS and modify NTFS also, just for anyones knowledge)

if I remember right I used nero and an old win98 floppy image and burnt a bootable cd with the image somehow. If anyone is in real dire need of it I can make an ISO image of my cd and email it to them. It'll only be like a meg in size. Or I can see about posting it to a website somewhere tommorrowing evening. id be more then happy too if anyone wants me to.
there's also other downloadable bootable cd images out there too. heirmans boot cd is a good one, theres a few light linux distors that will allow it.

Again if anyone wants me to I can post an ISO of mine up too. Like I said it's nothign special. It's only a windows 98 boot "floppy". it allows access to DOS and the old time utilities like fdisk and chdsk and what not. it's usefull for diagnosing older computers and fixing them quickly. I still run into them every once in a great while.
