Hi,

Was wondering are the nVidia drivers multi-threaded and if so how willll they utilise other cores i.e. if the main thread is using 100% of one core will the other threads be also at >60 or does the main thread being maxed out stop the other threads from being utilsed further, how many cores/threads can it utilise?

Thanks
Haider

Saying it isn't a problem for normal use probably isn't helping, so the question back is why is this info needed? For example, about the only instance I can think of is that GPU drivers can have different CPU overhead, which might matter if you have a weak CPU or one with few cores, such as older gen quad cores.

The driver itself uses practically nothing in terms of CPU, you're going to have background processes and other services running that almost certainly will use more.

Was going to get my daughter a cheap RTX 4060 16GB now that the 5060s are coming out, RTX Minecraft...
I wouldn't sweat it.. the CPU performance (it is 15 years old) itself will hold things back at 1080p more than drivers on that 6c/12t CPU.

Would be awesome to see a more detailed first post instead of hoovering out reasons. :)

My thinking is Minecraft and Roblox won't be heavy use on GPU
Why think? Know! :)

Minecraft RTX will be a lot harder on the GPU than Roblox. I'd expect lower than what you see in the link due to the 14 year old processor. Does that meet minimum reqs? It just says "i5".......
