I dunno, but you would have to be really stupid if you didn't fully plug in the cable to the hilt in the first place., but yeah I've seen the cable's overhang right at the joint and I'm sure that's where the issue lies:

Well, actually, for us retired folks that got sick & tired of air travel a decade ago, I'm more likely to die of some PC magic smoke & flame. Just sayin..............
