Ive posted about this before, so here i go again.
When i up the FSB above 133 the HD makes little flickering reads that cause my mouse to stutter quiet badly. Even at FSB's as low as 140.

The advice i got before was to make sure that my HD was set to DMA in windows and the bios. Well it was, i even tried diabling DMA but still no good.

Ive noticed too that when i reboot it fails to even get to the bios splash screen. and i have to reset the cmos. (i tried changing the voltage to 1.8 @ 140 but it still wont reboot)

I'm starting to think that my chip/mobo is a good o/c combo, but from what ive read it should be.

ANy further ideas??

If it won't make it to the BIOS splash screen then the HD probably isn't the problem. Try reducing your memory settings.

If your Tbird is unlocked you can also try reducing the multiplier to see if its the CPU that is stopping you. I sort of doubt it given its an AXIA but its worth a try. Try 8 x 140 which is unclocking at 1120 Mhz.

You can also try flashing the BIOS on your mb if a new one is available.

If you still suspect the HD you could go into the BIOS and force it to something slow like PIO mode 2 or 3 and see if that makes an difference.
